Give Yourself Some Credit

Every single one of us has had the experience of a strong feeling, a physical sensation or symptom, or a persistent thought that grabs our attention, seems important, and…we ignore it.  Our rational minds quickly convince us that we’re over-analyzing, we’re being paranoid, or whatever the message is pointing us to couldn’t possibly be right, at least not without further confirmation from an outside source.  Most of us not only do not know how to trust our inner voice, we don’t even know that we most certainly can trust our inner voice.

The first step in learning to trust that inner voice is to give yourself some credit.  We are all intuitive creatures, and are very capable of accessing that voice at any time.  Listening to it is a choice, not an ability.

I recently took a class called Intuition 101 which, as you might guess, was all about exploring the different forms of intuition we have and how to zero in on the forms that best work for you.  I learned so many cool techniques, experienced many abilities that I didn’t know I had, but the most valuable thing I walked away with was the acknowledgment that when I hear my intuition speaking, I can trust it.  I can act on it.  Heck, I can live my life by it.  I think all I needed was to hear that from someone else, and see that other people were experiencing some of the same stuff I was in terms of significant thoughts, feelings, images, signs, physical sensations, etc.

I would like for you to know this, too.  How would your experience of your life be different if you listened to your inner voice and accepted it as truth?
